COVID-19 Update Dec 04, 2020
This year, the precautions that we all take to stay healthy through winter are even more important during the Coronavirus Pandemic. The number of Houstonians with COVID infections have increased by 1700 cases from Nov 30 to Dec 3. These numbers are alarming, and they are very real. (See below)
Many hospitals are no longer permitting in-person visitors and ICU bed capacity is diminishing as the infection rate climbs. We have taken measures to ensure the safety of our patients by implementing Virtual Visits and promoting safe practices. All of us hoped that things would be back to normal by now, but we need to “flatten the curve” again!
We must continue public health measures of limiting interactions, social distancing, wearing masks when outside, engaging only in essential activities, washing our hands and cleaning surfaces. As we optimistically await the vaccines that will help us return to a more normal life, let’s take care of each other.
We know what to do to save lives; we are all in this together!
Be well,
